Sythe Labs Accepted into Anthropic's Cyber Verification Program

Andrew Roe

Sythe Labs has been accepted into Anthropic's Cyber Verification Program (CVP). We are joining a small group of cybersecurity teams working with Anthropic to advance defensive capability for the AI era, using our adversary lens to find gaps in controls and shut down high-risk attack paths for our customers.

The program adjusts the default safeguards on our organization account so dual-use cybersecurity work, including vulnerability exploitation research and offensive security tooling, runs inside our Claude-powered workflows. Prohibited-use activities remain blocked. Expanded access plus clear guardrails is the posture we want when building agentic tooling that touches real client environments.

A personal note from Andrew

I got into agentic security engineering with an eye for what could be. What will these tools do in five and ten years, and how do we protect our customers against the threats that arrive with them? Capability is growing faster than anything I have worked on, and defenders who adopt these tools well will pull away from those who do not.

CVP acceptance lets Sythe Labs put frontier AI on the problems our customers face: faster reconnaissance, deeper code review, more thorough red-team simulations, and defensive automation that keeps pace with adversaries already using the same class of tools. This is the work I have wanted to do since day one, and we now have a sanctioned path to do it at the frontier.

What this means for our customers

For existing and prospective Sythe Labs customers, this changes what we deliver on an engagement. Our operators can use Claude across the full kill chain during authorized testing. Our detection engineering team can iterate on adversary emulation faster. Our vCISO practice can produce board-ready analysis grounded in the same models attackers are weaponizing. The approval is scoped to our organization and to the use cases in our application, and we intend to use every bit of it for stronger security outcomes.

Thanks to the Anthropic Safeguards team for the review, and to our customers for pushing us to raise the bar.
